Continue celebrating

We continued the celebration on the next day. I only took photos of some of our meals.

1. Went again to have the sets. This time, ordered the other 2 sets:
 - sour hot soup noodle (requested for the soup to be served in a separate bowl than the noodle which was a good move because the soup was salty. Add on dessert - glutinous balls in red bean soup
- prawn dumplings noodle. Add on dessert - yam paste ginkgo.

2. My treat - one more sticker to go after this.

Sesame glutinous rice ball - acceptable. Sesame dessert - too much.

\
Pomelo mango lo lo with ice cream - acceptable

Pink guava ice

3. We lingered until 6pm to eat the RM1 braised chicken.

Default peanuts served - not salty so it is nice

RM1 soy sauce chicken - to celebrate the restaurant ? anniversary

Spmi order pork chop rice - forgot exactly how much should be around RM18

45 years walk

Another celebration today with many meals.

1. First stop.

Pork cheek
Spmi set - shio ramen and salmon rice
The salmon was salty. Although the eggs were salty too but I find them tasty although I prefer the salmon to be less salty. Around RM35

Miso ramen - requested to be less salty
2. 2nd stop. Did not order the set this time because we ate these immediately after eating the above ramen.

Spinach tofu

Vege dumpling and normal siao long bao

Yam siao long bao claimed for celebration
Then we walked and walked and walked to eat shaved ice.

3. 3rd stop.

Wonderb said that the underlying taste is of milk which I couldn't detect. We ordered the bamboo leg durian ice but sp ended up with eating the green tea ice. I prefer just to have the ice and not those other items.

Walked back and fifth stop snow drink teaballs.

13 years

On the day itself, we celebrated by having a higher priced meal than our normal meals.

Reached there at 11.15am and was told that lunch was not ready yet but cakes can be served so I ordered a slice of rum and raisin RM8.5 and it was nice. Sp ordered latte and it was milky.

Then I decided to have another slice of cake as my lunch. A blueberry cheese (RM8.5) and I do not quite like the strong taste of blueberry and the lemony cheese taste with this layered crepe cake. I prefer a light and airy taste. So next time I will order a plain vanilla slice which is cheaper at RM7.5 and similar slice originating from this same place will cost RM1 more in town.

Sp ordered a bumbu chicken rice around RM18.9 and I ate a bit from his.

Prefer to eat at belanga than this as it is cheaper

Too strong taste

Price inset is incorrect. Should be RM8.5

S1 2nd and last visit

Went again much sooner than I thought we would. I ordered the largest. I think I prefer the noodle to be thicker so we won't be back.

Is this kumquat?

D2 Truffle little dragon buns

Main reason we were here was for the truffle siao long bao. RM36 for six.

Then there was a lunch promotion. Order any 1 of 4 dishes and get 6 or 8 normal siao long bao at RM21.80++ inclusive of a glass of tea. Option to order a dessert at RM4.

The 4 choices were:
1. Fried rice with pork chop
2. Char jiang noodle
3. Prawn dumplings noodle
4. Sour Hot soup noodle

We ordered 1 and 2 with 2 desserts. Add a plate of yin choy vege for RM8.

Verdict: Love the siao long bao. Will be back for more.

Truffle siao long bao
See the piece of truffle?
Bean curd appetizer - ala carte
Shrimp siew mai - ala carte
Set - fried rice pork chop - pork chop taste like twisties
Fish dumplings - ala carte
Set - normal siao long bao (2 sets)
char jiang noodle - set
Add on dessert - mango shrimp roll - too much mayonnaise inside spoiled the taste for me
Yam roll - add on dessert RM4
Add on yin choy RM8

After this, we ate 2 bowls of ice at snow. Did not take photos.

D1 Big portion

Last day of sale so went today but W Kee was closed at dinner time so as we were four, we went to eat the so said to be very nice pork knuckle. Was ok for RM70 but not enough to entice me to return for more.
Broccoli and carrots were buried under the pork knuckle. Same same taste so I had enough after a few mouthful of meat.
Pigs in blanket - nice but salty. Which name do you prefer? Tom, Dick or Harry?

you one sunday food?

Arrived early to have a nice walk in the top secret garden. Then it was eat, eat, eat.

1. Curry puffs to lapik the stomachs. Chicken curry - ok. Vege curry - ok. Sardine - not ok - too much fishy taste.

2. Used oriental bowls. Chicken wine mee and some other noodles which I can't remember.

3. Found the fresh and meet it by ordering 3 bowls. Sweet and I prefer the taro balls from snow. This one feels like it has too much starch in the ball instead of taro but I can see the pieces of sweet potatoes in the sweet potatoes balls sitting in the translucent orange starch ball.

Will go there again to eat the mung bean ice.

4. Then went for tea but ordered many dishes until tea became dinner. Went to the soup sifu restaurant. Pork tendon claypot soup.

Pork stomach pepper soup. The stomach pieces are dry with a very strong porky taste.

Concaved sesame buns.

Gotta fill up the "hole" with the fillings (sweetish stirfry of pork meat and wolfberries).

Mee Suah set. Tang Sum Soup (I think).

Verdict: First and last visit.

Duck is yummy

Early dinner at 4ish. Duck meat is tasty but I prefer the noodles to be thicker and the dish to have less sauce. Satisfying but not full. Around RM10.

No to fried items

Lunch eaten with chopsticks. Took the steamed chicken pieces because I am trying to say no to fried food.

Tuesday, April 10, 2012

Ok? Ok

The other choice as usual was nasi lemak RM14.
My choice - prawn mee (one of the two cheapest item) RM10 . The prawn was raw so I  spit it out.
Drink included in the meal and salad from the buffet spread

Sunday try

New place for early dinner at 4ish. Did not use the wet wipes provided so had the 40c x 2 taken off the bill.
Verdict: First and last visit
Nu Er Hong wine chicken rice
Pan mee - green colour supposedly come from spinach - dough is a bit sweet
6 sui kau - made from the same green pan mee dough so a bit sweet too
