Carl F. is here!

Had another late night so woke up only at 1100. Ate lunch at 1130 and went to work from 1230 to 1630. Got the companion line to the hook out but left a scar in the process which will take time to heal. Balcony garden in the pipeline. Met the right pram for 780.

Fast forward curved day

Woke up feeling sleepy due to the late night watching Brazil vs USA (Confederation Cup). Went for brunch, then tea, and ended with 122 worth of shrimps. Managed to catch Prison Break Series Finale but missed NCIS and House. Very tiring day.

Locks, locks, locks

After brunch, we went shopping for necessities. Then we went to visit Orange Groove from 1245 to 1730. Just when we arrived, the previous batch left. Tried our hands at the electric juicer but didn't manage to get any juice. Went for food at an eatery nearby a mathematician's house to calculate our odds of getting the things someone wanted due to being trapped in between 2 persons. Both were very, very tired at the end of the day.

Keys, keys, keys

Woke up early this morning and was picked up for breakfast of tosai, roti canai and capati until 0900. Then collected the items and walked up and walked down until so tired. Don't know what type of items are those jutting out. Too hot to continue without water so had to go for lunch at 1115. Spent 1.5 hours there. Had a big wash up and slept playing soccer. Dinner of YTF at home. Overheard the YTF seller discussing MJ, FF, and Shek Kin's death with a customer.

PS3 is back!

Was awakened by the ringing of the phone. It was H calling to confirm the instructions. Went to YMS for lunch. Called and confirmed the Sat appointment at 0900. Dinner of mint and eggs. Washed the Nippon coverings. Meditation sessions have been postponed since yesterday.

Fully paid on 22nd!

Finally managed to find this out for 18.05 per day making it 54.15 for 3 days. Dropped in two chickens and went for lunch at another one of those I-can't-remember-its-name-shop that claims to serve Taiwanese food because there is a 50% off deal for selected set meals. Then all of us went for a sneak peek again. Waiting eagerly for Sat 0900 now. Will need to confirm tomorrow. It rained quite heavily this evening. Watched a drama without knowing the head or tail of it at 0315 in the morning.

No one called

The second child had to be woken up for lunch at 1100. Just ate ckt because the stomach was still asleep. Overshot the 30 target by 7. Dinner of gruel and soup - white and red carrot, pork ribs, dried mussels. Dried prunes for dessert. Decided to forgo the 3-hour meditation again - this time it is for "Angels and Demons". Someone unintentionally gave me the most important spoiler when the trailer was shown on Astro a few moons ago so there goes my movie. Anyway the music was nicer than the movie. Anime of the day was Angel Heart. The institution is still holding on to the funds.

Phonecalls day

Went for lunch at YMS and then paid up. Had the last drop of Yuzu drink. Finished watching the Guardian. Forgo the meditation session again.

Children get together

Spent the whole day with the children and we went to a faraway place for claypot bakuteh and expensive pan mee when we couldn't locate the dumplings (choong) place. Too tired to do the intended daily 3-hour meditation. Continue with the series.

Saturday, June 20, 2009

Finally it arrived!

Today the chores heaped up but we made the call to put it off till Monday. Instead we began doing meditation for 3 hours. Sang the "Rasa Sayang" songs with our children and chef. Broke our fast during the day time by having too much food at 8pm - soup with sea cucumber and crab meat; mayo lobster, mushroom fishpaste, some sort of sea asparagus gutted with an assortment of vege, fish paste and salted egg yolk roll; whole chicken in ginseng; whole fish (7 star?) in black beans; prawns coated in salted egg yolk; beancurd with gingko, lotus seed and enoki (golden needle mushroom); coconut paste pastry and coconut coated soft cakes; lotus seed, pak hap sweet broth dessert. Started watching "Guardian of the Sacred Spirit - Seirei no Moribito".

Midnight Hokkien Char

Had Korean meal (pan mee, stirfry beef, tofu kim chi, rice cakes) for lunch. Forgot to take photos. Was shocked by a snatch encounter. Did a sleep over but did not get much sleep. Putting words on pictures.

Whose elephant?

It is my's. Totally forgotten to take photos. Had 4 set lunches at 8.90 each with roselle drinks. Green curry, tom yam, phad thai (too sweet) and laksa. Additional orders of fish cakes (5 for 8 = nice), and green mango + prawns (3) + squids salad. Total = 59. Dinner of packed fatty rice with "pork rendang", "beef rendang" and "pork sambal" = 14. Discussion on logistics and quotations caused us to reach home only at about 9.

Laziness = diet

Lunch at our "every day" place. Overdose on ccf 3+3 fp =420 and so got to eat gruel to detoxify the system. Used up the rest of the dying coriander with the last of the tomatoes with the remaining 2 eggs for a deathly tasty omelette without salt. Light an instant curry noodles on fire. "Nothing but the truth" for us so we looked up Judith Miller and Plame affair.

Bye bye babies

It's school time again. Moi came and treated us to a 17 lunch. Then we watched Okuribito (Departures), the 2009 Oscar Winner for Best Foreign Language Film together. Soon it was 1630, time to leave. Worked to disperse the foul gas once we reached home with the children.

Durian feast

Spent 50 for 3s for 10 and 2s for 10. Top up with satay sauce. The unveiling of the bride. Watched "Rescue Dawn". More about the characters depicted in the movie can be found here, here and here.

Applied for registration

Finished the marathon of CGR2 by finishing 3rd. My visitors came and left early after a very light dinner at FM.

Friday, June 12, 2009

Games and gadgets

Went for Games & Gadgets 2009. Forgot that children do not take hot chillies so have to compensate by giving in to a McD dinner.

Thursday, June 11, 2009

No dinner for you!

Lunch at YMS again. The children started watching Code Geass. Quick dinner of instant noodles and gruel. Can't believe that one could just eat longan, pistachios and biscuits as dinner.

Wednesday, June 10, 2009

Cook can cook

Woke up at 11am since it is school holidays. Lunch at YMS followed by a sneak peek to spot termite. Preparation for the monastery. Ate leftover watercress soup with a stirfried frozen dory + coriander + curry leaves + red chillies + red onion (tasted like mangoes) followed by eggs, coriander, cucumber stirfry. Can't believe it is quite yummy.

Please lose the sugar shaker

School holidays = treat for the children.
Tuesday = Earthquake 50% off day 4390-2195 .
So do we get this:

Source of Picture: http://www.swensenspg.com.my/

Well we did order it but to our surprise we see this:

Source of Picture: http://www.lookintheattic.com/mo179ssci.html

staring at us in the face as in:

So please use a smaller bowl and leave the sugar shaker out of our bowl, thank you very much. We don't fancy the ice-creams being in close contact with unnecessary objects. The dry ice (we assumed that it was dry ice inside the sugar shaker) did not help at all to keep the ice-creams cold and frozen as the ice-creams were melting at a fast rate so the sugar shaker was really unnecessary and was an eye sore. Should we call 7876 3644?

The 8 flavours chosen were:

0. Macadamia nut (not available)
1. Banana Spilt
2. Blueberry
3. Chocolate Peanut Buttercup
4. Hazelnut
5. Mocha Almond Fudge
6. Sticky Chewy Chocolate
7. Strawberry
8. Yummy raisin

An additional order of a single scoop of sticky chewy chocolate in hot fudge 1690.

Total ++ 4470. Before that we consumed popiah 1.5x3, curry mee 4, Ipoh hor fun 4, champing 1.7, char keoy teow 4, curry chee cheong fun plus onions fried in plastic oil. Also bought the final book in the Harry Potter series - Harry Potter and the Deadly Hallows (Children's Edition - Hard Cover) for RM 34.90 from BookXcess to complete our collection.

Enthusiasm, optimism

Enthusiasm = 2 bunches of watercress of 320g each.
Optimism = RM2.01 worth of 17 unshelled green prawns with heads.
Satisfaction = when we are done eating.
Enthusiasm + Optimism = Satisfaction

Bread + Tomato = Delicious!

The little ones practised eating their meals using chopsticks during lunch. Dinner of instant noodles + lettuce + fried egg. No more being tricked by the trio after this day. What's the black item embedded in the white sand?

Saturday, June 6, 2009

Cholesterol anyone?

Breakfast at A, tapau lunch at CS and bread for M. Normal 2.2 cone was not as tasty as 2.8 cone. Dinner at YL for 4080 at 15, 20 (5P), 2, 380(TC). "奶油虾" = butter prawns or cream prawns? The tricky trio did not manage to finish the 9th slice of bread.

Rainbow trip

Early start at 0930 for a joyride and an early lunch with some friends from Taiping. Tiny portion of food = so so not satisfying. It was a treat. Dropped them off at EP and picked up some grocery on the way back. Instant noodles + egg + lettuce and brinjal + cheese + lettuce + tomato + 5 slices of bread for dinner. The trio continued to be tricked for 7, 8, 9, 10 days.

Home bakuteh

Just 500g of pork used and consumed for lunch and dinner. Lunch companion dish of cabbage, har mai and oyster mushroom. Total rice cups used = 5 and 9 to 11 of meets. Had to have supper of mango stick ic 1.5, basic bread+local coconut 4.5 to take the edge away. Late exit only. Was tricked that the triad disc did not work.

Last minute dinner

Day has become night for us as E3 goes on. Had 2*1980+15 in the afternoon. A vegetarian dinner of oyster mushroom and beijing cabbage plus har mai. Magically a soup of oyster mushroom and egg appeared out of nowhere.

Tuesday, June 2, 2009

Chicken soup not for the soul

Did the midnight shift due to E3. Didn't step out of the door at all. Had the same thing for lunch and dinner. Called and was told to just wait, no firm dates yet.

Getting ready for E3

Slept right until 1130 as it was school holidays for the children. Then it was lunch at EP and back to cook dinner. Pork ribs 7.92, old cucumber 3.18, har mai 5.99/10? soup and semi-ketupat rice.
