Fei fei fei

Finalised packing. Was picked up by a Say Fai Lo Chew at 1615 and super speed got there at 1650 for 80 which was very quick and early. Wrapped brownie for 9 and 2 mins each pax battle of the sexes scrabble which was won with a margin of 91 by the arrow. Ate a very expensive kfc of chicken breast original, colonel burger, orange squash and fries for 12.35 which was expected. Used gel 722 at 2040 and stopped by 2130 and got going again by 2300. Uneventful rest of day in 19deg. Disappointing supper but ok breakfast.

Pack, pack, pack. All day was spent packing and moving to departure point. Forgot to take the belt.

To the rescue!

Started packing today for a 14 days trip to attend training. Finally managed to eat dinner with the Laws and paid them rental for April-June 09. Ordered claypot herbal salty chicken 23, ginger steamed wan fish 29, wine stir fry kailan 10, black soy sauce pork ribs 15, pepper salt octopus 10, rice, tea and one coconut. It was an over order and the bill came up to 107.80 with parts of the wan fish uneaten. After that it was mission rescue and a successful one. Network card is faulty, antivirus defender of bits is acting weird so reinstall os to clean it and use usb to connect to the network and made use of avast instead. All working fine now!

April fool's BBQ

Asked the Laws for dinner but they had to turn us down as they have another dinner date. We sat stupidly in the dark for one hour from 2030 to 2130 in support of earth hour. Attempted death by food today by eating a whole butter cake and drinking copious amount of coffee. Bad, bad, we may become diabetic from this overeating and irregular eating habits.

PS3 in hospital again

Paid up the city in advance thrice over and was rewarded with a 320 white passport worth 265. Both of us did one of each water bomb. Early in the morning, the bird made its way up north east again.

Claim officially cancelled

First day: slept till 9.30 and then ate brunch at aji. Then went to the branch in sri queen and got it all done at 11am. Movie day - watched Wall-E and Ghost Town. Was mightly hungry as well and ate like there is no tomorrow so in order to stop eating, I got a haircut for 11 and then resumed eating at the fat man's place for 16.10 and not a cent less. Oh yes, the PS3 died again - same yrod cause.

Freedom!

Paid up 3154 and was told to wait for 6-8 months for the result. Went over the sums and got the iou of 5.2 which is not a surprise. The right leg kicked a bottle of lactic acid and need to be plastered. Nanat set up an interrogation session. Washed a pair of shoes but it didn't dry yet under the hot sun.

Returned the bread

Whole day at work and email lots of people in duo lawyer firms and inns. Got replies on the same day as well. LMS treated me to lunch at SZ. Found out that someone bought the stone for 2k already. Dropped the shoes and got all the changes done at 37.9 for 150 pieces. Later got to teach again.

Forgettable socks

Got cable working again by pressing 369 at the signal screen and setting the universal option to yes. Still in a down mood after I finished watching the 4th (final episode) of Human Trafficking. Got 2 HPs in a pack for 12.90 and helped a colleague set up the TV channel in the office to pick up TV3 signal. Dan and Ry treat me to lunch. Later Fran and Will treat me to coffee during teatime. Ponytales couple both works in the IT environment.

Wanton diamonds?

Went with mel to a corner shop in sec 17 for breakfast. Then drop by a car showroom to get a free road tax. Watched 3 episodes of Human Trafficking at one go and felt very down. The feeling stemmed from the realisation that there are some really cruel and nasty people in this world and there is not much a common person can do anything about it. Got a call from SK about a 0.25c, F stone for 2k.

PS3 is back!

Found and ate the fish banana leaf meal at 8 each (I think). It was yummy! In the afternoon got back PS3 at 5+350. It was a kill joy at 210. A fat lady served us dinner today at 21.5 which was not too bad.

Voucher used = full stomachs

Worked in the office for the whole day. Returned the pills with dried saliva smell to the clinic. There's a faint chlorine taste in the bread. A dinner of seafood risotto, lamb shank, cheese cake, mango juice shared by 3 still made us too full. Total bill came to 80 after a 30 deduction.

Finally released!

Worked all day in the office. She walked up to me and told me, "I want you to go and get it done after telling you 1385x59+1355 times" so I got it done at long last.

Online obsession

Today is d-day at whl, at long last. Left her alone at home and she spent the whole day playing Killer Sudoku online at http://www.killersudokuonline.com/ and despite spending the whole day playing puzzle weekly no:167 which is billed as mind-bending, she couldn't solve it without any hint and gave up after nearly getting a headache. Can't leave her alone at home at all.

Online all day

Stayed in the whole day but did 12 orders online and returned one phonecall. The maid came and wiped the bedroom floor tiles using recycled tissues on her hands and knees although I have a vacumn cleaner but she was stubborn and would not use it. WH+S:1629-1730. Changed and laundered the bedsheets. Mathai's Banana Leaf Rice is now located at Mayflower Seafood Restaurant, 144A, Jalan Vivekananda, KL.Tel: 03-22603698/6698. Lunch: 10.30am-2.30pm and Dinner: 5.00pm-10.30pm.

Collected etickets

Spent the whole day at whl and left early at 1630. Walked there and back for exercise. Just ate bread and drank plain water for lunch. Met Siti to collect two payments from her. Ironed my shirts at night while watching House. Did the laundry too.

In search of spanish mackerel

We ended up having a drive for lunch as we didn't check beforehand and the place where the stall for Tenggiri was located was closed and even the coffee shop sign board wasn't there anymore. We tried another place but there were many people standing around the shop waiting for seats just for fish head beehoon so in the end we ate at the next door Mamak stall. Last minute preparation at night for the next day checking process.

Domino's Pizza

Ate a quick breakfast and went to sign the two application forms. Then bought 2 large (12 inches) Domino's Pizza with a coupon for 50 nett - Extravaganzza on NY Crust and Meat Mania on Hand Tossed Crust. Hassled the dogs to come home. Dinner with the Phils for 58.30 but I've forgotten to take any photos of the food we ate for my health records.

Ever tried cutting water?

Went shopping at EPCF and then back to m's house. Learned that the birds will fly down from the north tonight for 3 days. Made 4 phonecalls - confirm final payment for hero; set up appointment to sign 2 application forms; check our shared outstanding balance; call to reset but was told to sign up again. It is still dropping so it helps to just accept it.

Eat in the garden again

On our own again and worked all day at whl for a tenner just like yesterday. Replaced with ribena again. Waterz is useless, didn't assign me with a Ip Man ticket. Forgot the time so gotta be picked up. Since yesterday, my right nostril is up to something. Flipped through "Six Frames: For Thinking About Information" by Edward De Bono and "Dreams from My Father". The six frames are triangle (goal - what, where, why), circle (accuracy), square (point of view), heart (interest), diamond (value) and rectangle (conclusion or summary). Read about "Dignitas" following the news about a British couple who died at a voluntary euthanasia clinic.

A walk in the rain

On our own today and worked all day at whl. Replaced with ribena again and dinner cost 40.4 which blew our budget. Asked someone to talk to my chin, not my hand. Flipped through "My Story" by Dave Pelzer. Could not believe that a mother could treat her own flesh and blood like that.

Tuesday, March 10, 2009

Paid up via transfer

Went to pick up J and then worked all day at whl. Open Binjai: 1:2, 2-5:1, >5:0.5 so total is 8 for 8+. Replaced with Ribena for 3.40 in place of 2.55. Was late and got stuck in the jam before picking up a sitter. It was raining so had to go to EP to eat Esq. Never again will eat the substandard food again. Flipped through a book with the title "Priceless". Spent 30 on waterz for less than 1 hour for unlimited 30 days usage.

Public holiday fortune teller

Ironed 4 shirts. Met Alison and soon, Huat also joined us for meals. Was interrupted during the dinner by two baby cockroaches running amok amongst the plates (we didn't kill them but allowed them to roam about, just watching carefully to ensure that they didn't run into the food), a woman leading a man asking for donations for the man's surgery, and a fortune teller who kept telling us bits of fortune hoping to entice us to pay him to tell us more. Unfortunately for all of them, we just politely shook our heads and requested them to move on. The fortune teller was saying things to our group like "people earn 1k, you earn 3k"; "money fast come but faster gone"; "from your face can see 3 good things, only can see but can not get"; "you is a ... to your mother and a ... to your spouse" and yadda, yadda, yadda...

Food for a long weekend

Woke up this morning and the left-eye-throbbing headache is still there. Ate a bit of gruel and then after lunch, the headache just faded away. I concluded that the headache is caused by hunger. These two blogs by a mother and her daughter make an interesting read.

Trick for 3

Washed the car and got a left eye-throbbing headache. Wonder why. Watched "You Don't Mess with the Zohan" which is funny but in a gross way.

Burgers + Milo = No No Taste

Picked up g again at 0900 and dropped g at whl. Then went to the park for 8+ at 9. Ate McD 5.95 burgers for lunch again but this time exchanged the soft drinks for iced milo at an additional cost of 1.30 and found out that this was not a good move because the milo did not go well with the burgers. This time flipped through two books written by Singaporeans Adam Khoo and Conrad Alvin Lim: "Secret Psychology of Millionaire Traders" and "How to Profit from the Greatest Investment Opportunity Since the Great Depression". Came back to see further fall due to the wrong issues. First day at the water falls.

The one banana cake

Picked up g at 0745 and went to the office. Then after lunch, dropped g at whl and went to the convention park for 3 at 8. Bought banana cake 4 and 2 egg tarts at tk. Bought 1 kg at 486 to go. The count is now at 490646.

Wednesday, March 4, 2009

Road Tax

Picked g up at 0915 and dropped g off at whl and went on to mb for 1 to get 9 kg of stuffs. Then both of us went to the open park for 7 at 7.5 and flipped through a few books. I guessed the ending of "The Reader". "Face to face" and "Difficult conversations" are not my cuppa tea. Before I leave, a book written by Ann Coulter caught my eye but I have no time to flip through it. We ate the 5.95 McD set for lunch but paid an extra 1.30 to change the soft drink to orange juice. We left when g met up with us. Didn't get any at 480.

Tuesday, March 3, 2009

Car insurance

Total cost for 50 with windscreen cover 150 and 2 add names 20 is 866.48 which is done today. Spent half day in the office and the other half at whl to mark the start of the race that costs 12.6 for 3.

Monday, March 2, 2009

Tagalong

A long and tiring day after a whole day in the office. Took a break for a good lunch 54.30. Dinner was not that good at flat sky (TP) due to breaking of plain water vow since char ccf is a bit too spicy so gotta top it with a little too sweet black gooey rice tongsui. Did 40 at 38.5 and opened the side gate for the first time. Not shown: the salty grilled fish and soft shell roll.

Wedged!

A was sitting on a swivel chair with both her feet perched on top of the base (wheels/castors) of the chair. Then she held on to the table in front of her while still sitting in the chair and pulled until her body is touching the table. By doing so, she inadvertently wedged her big toe on her left foot (which was still perched on top of the base of the chair) between the base of the chair and the underside of the cpu holder like this:

She screamed and immediately pushed herself (while still sitting in the chair) away from the table while clutching her big toe. Urgh, it must have been painful!

So for that, we watched "The Love Guru" to have a love laugh.
