Emergency pit stop

Woke up at 0830. Can be considered very early for a weekend morning. Went to have dim sum at a 24 hour dim sum place. It is definitely not a yan can cook place. Rather it is a yan....yan....? cook? Left one piece each of three types (siew mai, chives siew mai, water chestnut siew mai) untouched. On the way back, had to stop by the BP petrol station. Thank goodness the washroom is clean and smell ok. Never once had this happen to me before. In the evening, parked at citrus to check out the secret. Ended up having early dinner at a station with bak kut teh but ate wine martell pig's kidney (8.9), rice wine chicken (small 18.90) with 2 rice. Bought choc bread and honey (13.19). Then ate banana choc cake and latte (14.70). Valentine buffet at gigi cafe is priced at 88+ per pax.

YROD

Sent the PS3 to the Gamers for a Solution. Hopefully it can be fixed at an estimated cost of 350. YROD = Yellow Light of Death? Bought Western Digital WD TV HD Media Player for 399 to play mkv files. Now I can c the zone directly on TV. Had to take the public transport back to rendezvous with the pickup car due to early closure of roads for the last stage of Le Tour De Langkawi, the Kuala Lumpur Criterium, tomorrow. Ate Valentine's day dinner at cafe 2369. Looking into each other eyes eating fish paste mee hoon.

D-day PS3 dies

In the middle of a game, PS3 suddenly shut down on its own. Then when the start button is pressed, it just flashed red light and would not start. Powered off and on and pressed start again, it showed green light, yellow and then flashing red again. Just won't start. It was bought a few days after CNY 2007 so it is nearly 2 years. I don't want to believe in Friday the 13th but then this had to happen on Friday the 13th so is it true that bad things happen on this day?

A decision made

Suddenly in the midst of the traffic congestion, the decision was made. Submit end of this month to be ended after one month. Violent cough at around 3am.

My appetite is back?

Still burping and just ate congee, bread and a little mee hoon in home made assam laksa soup today. Cough is turning bad, phelgm is greenish yellow so decided to go and see the doctor today. Didn't ask for MC though. Meeting with hl was postponed from today's 5 half pm to tomorrow's 7pm. The doctor just measured the vapour of my mouth for temperature and declare that I have no fever. I was not sure what was happening so I didn't even breathe out so I don't think the result is valid. Was given 12 MOXILEN capsules 500mg (3 times a day), 5 small pink round generic looking tablets with C embedded in them (told me it was polaramine) 1 each night, a few Dequadin lozenges (lemon flavoured 3.8g), and a bottle of Axcel Dextrozine syrup (labelled controlled medicine) manufactured by Kotra Pharma (M) Sdn Bhd (10ml each night). Spent whole day at work and didn't even went to the loo for a biggie. Let TP knew about my plans to be made into an action film. Today left home at 0800.

Is it more painful to be ill or is it more painful to watch a beloved being ill? My answer is that it is more painful for me to watch someone I love being ill. M says the pain is the same for her. P says it is more painful for him himself to be ill.

Persistent coughing

Still went to work despite the cough and runny nose. Left early at 0730. Coughing has became worst and throat hurts a lot. Still can't feel stomach. Just ate some bread and some lean pork meat congee as lunch and dinner. At night, ate boiled cauliflower and celery. Still burping but does not feel so nausea now. Felt a lump and soreness in the throat so thinks it is phlegm but can not be coughed out so kept on coughing to try to cough the phlegm out. Got a paper cut beside my finger nail on the right of my right index finger. Not fatal but annoying cos it is difficult to heal and will keep tearing apart and seep a little blood now and then.

Two = sick

It started yesterday night at around 11.59pm. Passed very watery stools. Then the throbbing left eye and headache makes me want to vomit. Keep wanting to burp but all came out halfway so was feeling nausea and dizzy. First time vomit, I can see yellowish stuffs like egg yolk in the vomit. Finally figured out that it was the oranges that I ate at around 9pm. Then I feel the chills. All the hairs on my arms stood up. So I went to bed and covered myself up. At 0120 I woke up feeling terrible. Vomited again. This time 3 batches of vomit came out. I can see semi digested vege, and lots of yucky stuffs in the vomit. The smell was terrible, a strong pungent whiff of Beryl hazelnut chocs that I ate at 2pm in the afternoon. They should have been fully digested yet they were not. I can see bits and pieces of semi-digested food around my mouth. It was disgusting. Cleaned up and went to bed again. By this time, the headache was totally gone. At 0220 I woke up again. Vomited again. Same strong choc taste. I think I will not be able to eat anymore chocs after this. Cleaned up again and went to bed. Woke up at 0500. Could feel gases churning in my stomach, wanted to eat po chai yuen but can I eat them on an empty stomach? Since I threw all the food that I ate out already? Slept upright on the sofa. Then went to bed again at 0630. Woke up at 1000. Passed out water and air only. Sipped a bit of milo and ate bo chai yuen. Then ate eno so that I can burp fully. Then at 1400, just ate 2 tablespoons of quaker oats. I suspect that I have stomach flu (gastroenteritis) rather than food poisoning since no one else vomited after eating the same things that I ate. So we did not go out today as partner was suffering from cough and runny nose and queasy stomach. What a terrible day!

Throbbing left eye ball

Woke up at 12pm. Ate and play and ate again. Washed the socks. Did the dry kitchen planning using visio. Felt like hell. One had flu and coughing, the other has pain throughout the neck and shoulders and a splitting head and gastric pain. Xmas2000 has been successfully retrieved by B. Yah! A big thank you to you, B!

Rate at 39.5

Slept at 5am in the morning and got up at around 11am. The 3 of us went to mmall at about 1pm and surprisingly there was no traffic jam. Ate dimsum at jade, browse books at basheer which borders another bookstore. Then change 120k for 4740 which was the main purpose of the trip. Got back and rest for a while. Washed hair and then very soon it was time to make a move. Got the pressies book and 50 ready and left at 1930 which was very late. CK and family couldn't make it due to another birthday. Had to park the car further away and spent just 1.5 hours at Lucas C 1st birthday party. It was a big do with games and prizes for children and balloons twisting figures. Slept at 0230.

A nostalgic day

Had a sudden urge to housekeep photos from 2000 to 2003. Got the cds out and found that a few folders can't be opened. Got the error "The file or directory is corrupted or unreadable". Felt a sudden wave of sorrow that I wouldn't be able to look at those pictures again. Xmas 2000 is gone forever. Finally disposed the old handphone responsibly into the recycle bin provided by the department of environment in their Recycling Campaign Mobile Phone. Other centers where I can drop the phone off is too far from my place. Luckily I found this bin which is located at a site not in the list. Was picked up at 3pm and continued my interrupted nap until late evening. Slight cough.

3 shopping centers in a day

Before lunch, it was hl and rc. After lunch she told me that I want u to go back office so off I went. Read "Unpolished Gem: My mother, my grandmother and me" by Alice Pung, not finished yet. Finished reading the book recommended by wify "You Can't Have Him, He's Mine: A Woman's Guide to Affair-Proofing Her Relationship" and will not recommend the book to the wives of my friends.

Long wait for car rebate

Went to the pos office today to renew the antique road tax and get the cash rebate of 625. Got the number 1184 while the current number being served is 1070 so I went to shop first. Used two of the 8 vouchers. Went back to po, number is just 1138 so waited for another one hour before it was my turn. The team had vegetarian lunch at YS. It was morning at the office and afternoon at usj. I go sb again and felt as if someone drew lines on the inner linings of my throat.

Meeting 1430 cancelled

Worked from home in the morning and then I go gsb meeting at 1430 but in the end it didn't happen so whole day worked from home. Watched a lot of housework get done.

No holiday for me

Today is a replacement public holiday for Federal Territory folks but not for me. Whole day in the office until I saw flying chicken and mushrooms off the lo mai fan. Gotta chase them and gobble them all up. 3-8 that's where I'll be.

Lazed in Sunday

Sleep, eat, play, eat, sleep. It's a palindrome. Tried out the new friendship cafe for dinner - so so only.

Very berry strawberry

It's the 31st so off we went to Baskin Robbins and stuffed our faces with 2 pints of strawberry, mint, and choc ice-cream at Queens Park, Shelley. Then off to use the 25% and 15% postcards. Nothing to buy, only managed to save 1.27 after deducting 4 of parking fees for 3 hours. 4 hours of Templars completed.

Back to office

Hang out all day at the office. Got a name card from a female stranger in the insurance industry while I was riding piggy back on the star for a buck. Asked me what do I do and I answered her with what do you mean.

Commented that I was sharp when I asked her about the industry that she was in. Why? Cos I can tell just by her phone conversation. I wanted to apologise for eavesdropping on her conversation but I did not. Dunno why. She's with Prudential and asked me about my insurer and name. Told her cos I don't think there is any harm to it. 43% (2.21 hours remaining) so I guess it is time for me to go. Also read miho's blog. Will let m read too as she is quite an emo person. Got to know we need to go to loi fat fat again tomorrow cos ysil bf has a birthday celebration on Sunday so the date is moved forward.

Started working today

A s was much needed but yet I still delay it. Didn't get up to make breakfast. Heard him getting milo and weetameal for breakfast himself. Worked from home today in white - singlet and brief. Lunch was delivered by J from Ipoh Chic Rice which did not closed at all for CNY (and so I heard). Then was dropped off at mb to pay monthly installment for the car. Went back and ate a lot. Slept in the heat too. Met at dinner at the usual flying place. The price of the dishes went up from 1 to 3 but it is expected due to CNY but the place is still packed with people. Old cucumber soup 7 (6+1), tomato sauce pork chop 12 (10+2), buttered prawns 28 (25+3), xian vege 10 (8+2), 2 rice x 1= 2 making a total of 59 and we have 3 people eating. Boxing chicken pork slices 300g have all been consumed by this date.

I hear, I listen, I act on it

Ate roti telur for lunch at Ajimal again. Dinner at m's so so very full. Gave excuse to her so that she doesn't need to stop by on the way back south. Called her at night but conversation seems loop sided. Gotta wake up at 0645 daily to take connecting buses to reach office at 0800 while someone else gets to sleep in until later.

Gong Xi, Gong Xi, Gong Xi Ni!

The morning starts off with the usual visit to pil's house to pai nian and to eat jai choy. Then off to m's house to do the same. Came back and nap or rest for a while before going off again to get some kfc to the secondary school gathering that we have been having for the past years now, first in 04, it was the choi's family house, then 05 the leong's old house, 06 the leong's new house, 07 no gathering as the lim's were off to Australia, 08 the lim's house, 09 the chan's house. Had a good time chit chatting with the leong's missus about the financial arrangements of the household - 2.5 salary and 3 for savings.

The eve of CNY. Scrooge returns challenge all the way. What a shed way to eat the CNY reunion dinner as all the people eating are the usual gang. Still want long winter jacket or not, decided not to. Asked to donate to those recyclable charity goods container.

J is back for CNY

Got back early this morning. Trip down started at midnight with a taxi ride 15 from abode to bus station. Slept all the way so reached kl in no time and was picked up from PR. Called home to chat in the morning at 9am. Then had breakfast chap fan using chopsticks and then toki toki all the way until dropping over to chit chat from 1930 to 2100. Ah, to be young and in love - my friends 13944178 and 4735589. Told about the card and then read it. Hhmm, not signed and not addressed to any one in particular in the card so what does this say about the person in psychology terms? Found out that M couldn't see when I showed the photos of the condo unit, aiya never mention also.

Early start at 0515

Opened my eyes at 0422 and switched off the aircon. Got up early at 0515. Left for work at 0730 and decided to get off work on time today to recharge. Lucky draw today and got this random ticket aahcxtujuhblimaenamyenam so hope the results will be known soon. Got and watched the last episode of "you are my destiny". It was labeled as 177 instead of 178 and vice versa. Then CNY shopping shopping again with the children. Long queue at Bee Cheng Hiang. It seems like everyone must eat pork slices during CNY so everyone must buy and give everyone else as gifts. Left at 7pm as this is the last working day before CNY.

FX520 1.1k

Left early in the morning at 0815 and worked long hours until 2055. Was tired. Mind was busy with lots of activities the previous night due to 2 things due immediately after cny. Don't even have time to watch TV, much less TV3 but managed to catch the new Petronas ad.

A first at lammeeya

Just like yesterday, worked from home until noon and then at the office. Looked at both cameras at Best Denki. Also called up Foto Edar and Selangor Foto to check the prices. Foto Edar quoted 1070 (fx38) and 1100 (fx520). Selangor Foto quoted 1150 (fx38) but they do not have fx520. Best Denki is charging 1299 (as per recommemded best price by Panasonic). This morning, we finished up the remaining banana cake (First Choice) by Fuji Bakery Sdn Bhd. The cake is a bit on the dry side and uses too much artificial banana essence. Spent time with baby and updated all these at the office.

Found out about the yahoo group for bukit ikhlas buyers at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/bukit_ikhlas/ and it seems that their development got delayed too.

Dragon phoenix duck meal

Worked from home until lunch at YMS 8.3 and then worked from office until 6pm. Window shopped for no collar t-shirts and jackets/sweaters. Can't find any that I like. They are either pullovers, track tops with hoods, sweaters or coats. Called the actual reservation number to confirm and check our bookings. All correct. I was told about the possibility of a trip to Pangkor in Feb. No other details. Got lost on the way to dinner, missed the turning and ended up lost in SS3. In the end, got to destination and spent 36. Dropped the two bags of Sa Chee Ma to M with the remaining acar. At night, researched on digital cameras Panasonic DMC FX38 or FX520, 1299 deal is one.

Central shopping 3.5 hours

The shopping for CNY stuffs continued today from 1100 to 1430. I felt so tired. Bought mandarin oranges - 2 boxes of L ones (2kg?) at 13 each and 1 plastic container of very sweet small mandarin oranges (2kg) for 26. Included pearl in our shopping trip. Whole day of work in office. Left early in the morning. M's toe joint is painful again. Take away red bean soup. I was still full from home cooked pasta so ate only stuffed stuffs at Fei Mok.

Baked beans, eggs, maggi mee

Today is the 3rd Sunday of the month and even though I was aware of this when I opened my eyes in the morning but I chose to return to dreamland and not bring my recyclables to the temporary collection site. Due to a nap in the late afternoon, we had to eat a can of 420g Heinz no salt added baked beans, 4 eggs, and 2 packs of maggi mee for dinner. Lunch was eaten using chopsticks again but I asked for just a plate without any rice to put the veges I chose. With a cup of coffee c with less sugar, the lunch came up to 10.70 and it was sufficient as I got a few spoonfuls of rice from my lunch companion.

Carbs only at Mont Palma

Reached there exactly on the dot at 6pm. Had an ok time but mos was stuck when asked a question which he has been anticipating beforehand - so when do you plan to have children was answered with something like just leave .... Today we watched "Kungfu Panda" and I fell asleep early into the movie when Po has just been chosen as the Dragon Warrior and was about to undergo some training with the Furious Five.

Two places in a day

Did the sokobahn again in the morning. Went to where the two rivers met for the first half of day and then to where you want to go for the second part of the day. Had lo sang after many years of not having any.
